Nothing much new with me really, other than still really tired from work and whatnot. I think I'm just getting old or something and its finally hitting me, because I feel I could sleep for a like a full day yet I'd never be able to sleep in, even if I wanted to :x

Nothing too much new in game other than trying to finish up my blackmage. Did 1 leech party on puddings with Liltulips BLM when my blm was like level 68 and she laughed at me because I did like a 100 damage blizzard III while shes doing like 2300 Freeze II's. Got tired of being made fun of and went back to doing merit parties on blackmage. In my previous parties at christmas I was basically healing in greater colibri parties and using my mule (Kalia) to basically help cure and haste the DD's. I mean as great as a merit party for your level 56 BLM sounds lol, it was alot of work and eventually I got it up to 68 from doing that. The last party I did, I took Kalia on brd/nin and pulled at greater colibri camp while I just let Zub leech xp with basically 5 people. My first party I ever pulled on and despite only getting brd on Zubuis to like level 10, I did ok I thought. Managed to get to like chain 160 before someone got 10 merits and had to go use them so we took a break. So now my BLM is level 70 and I'm really looking forward to finishing that. I actually had fun pulling on BRD and since no one likes to go BRD in merit parties I think it will be pretty easy for me to finish up my BLM now, just by using Kalia as a BRD.

In terms of progress - I picked up a fortitude torque recently, we had been having pretty decent luck with torque drops recently (other than justice) and wasnt really even expecting to get it. So now I think I pretty much got all the torques I can use other than Faith. I have been meriting a bit lately and recently got wyrm mail+1. Its kinda a weird armor because it gives 2% haste on it which is kinda bizarre when you look at most other af2 upgrades. So been trying that out as well as recent blitz ring purchase and walarha turban. Not really sure what I think so far. I remember when I first finished DRG, I thought I did pretty shitty in meripo at greater colibri - I didnt do very good in my opinion - at least compared to what I thought I should be. Seems now I do pretty good. I use skystrider and I like it but would like to eventually get a Valkrie's Fork just to see what I could do with it. Sometimes I go back to Ares Body/Homam Body and Aces Helm though, not sure really whats better, depends I guess on my accuracy for the party.

Took my drg to einherjar but parsed pretty shitty. Everytime I have taken DRG to Ein I end up doing shitty, I dont know why really. You would think a DRG would do decent in Ein but from my experiences it just doesnt cut it really. Seems like its good for angon'ing the boss and thats about it. Its kinda bizarre, I dont understand it really. Its so far behind WAR, MNK, SAM its not even funny. If I go WAR or MNK I usually do really good. I went SAM yesterday and did awful but we did have bad mobs for polearm. Einherjar, warrior really just seems to shine - compared to Dynamis where samurai really seems to shine.

Other than that, Einherjar seems to be going really good. We recently switched our days to Monday and Thursday because we have stronger attendance during the weekdays and we been having really strong turnouts and because I lead Einherjar it makes my life much easier. We have always been good at einherjar (least since late 2008), we only lost one t3 in 2009 and that was because we got Logi's which imo are the worse mob by far from any tier but we would have to continously have to do reclears because saturdays werent the best for attendance. So far with change it seems like were going to get back in the 3 clear > odin rotation which is really nice. Granted we dont really need that much from einherjar but wasting time sucks.

Dynamis been going really well since the new year too. We have gotten several new apps which have turned out to be good so we have pretty decent numbers. Dynamis is so much easier when your running with ~24 people compared to ~18. Granted its still not that difficult with 18 but we have been wrecking some zones. Typically our dynamis just splits the currency based off peoples attendance, so we havent really done much with anything relic related, because the linkshell doesnt really fund relics. Recently Arcsol has more or less been self funding Mandau and was/is close to completing it and was needing the attestation/fragment. Because the linkshell hasnt had much experience doing these and people in past said they are pretty challenging so I was unsure how that would go. I thought the animated weps were difficult then I watched a youtube video on it, and was suprised how low hp it seemed to have. So we just decided to do the animated dagger one day, and that was really easy. Pretty much crushed that. Then we started doing the attestations and that was suprisingly easy as well and luckily just had to go 1/2 to get the attestation of celerity. I picked up the Great Axe attestation but was 1 number away from #1 rank prize on mog lotto so guess I'm not getting that :x

Salvage been going alright for the linkshell but I think desire has dropped a bit for it. Majority of people seem to have what they want from it. I guess thats understandable when your at like #315 completed pieces. But still been going a bit with some of the newer members of the linkshell. Now that my BLM is 70, I'm looking to get some morrigan gear for it which is nice. Been doing salvage for like the past 8 months /w nothing really to gain from it. I dont mind because I enjoy doing it and seeing people get great items but its more fun when you have some form of incentive, so I look forward to have some goals to obtain in that area once again.

Other than that, stuff been going good in game. The linkshell as mentioned above has gotten some new recruits which have turned out to be pretty solid. Is always nice meeting and playing with people as long as their cool, so stuffs been going pretty smooth with the upped attendance and been tearing stuff as usual.

Been awhile since I did any kind of update. I've been busy last couple months because I started a new engineering job so I feel like I'm always behind on stuff lately. As a side note, the weather has been terrible here lately, so thats kinda depressing, driving conditions are terrible :/.

Stuff on game been pretty busy lately, so find it hard keeping up with all of our site stuff. Weekdays we usually cram alot of stuff in, weekends are a bit slower. We've lost a few members due to inactiveness but we have picked up some new members over the last few months which have seemed to turn into solid members so thats good. Linkshell continues to get stuff done and people continue to get along, so all is good I guess.

Not much really new with me, in game. Only new things I think I've got since the previous update was Valor Cape and Love Torque which are pretty nice and both things I was hoping to get one day. Messed around with the Love Torque a bit it merit parties on my sam and drg and liked the results. Especially on my sam, I found I did really well in that party. Though I have no idea if the torque really improved things that much but nonetheless i was ripping through birds. I'm probably missing some other stuff but mostly just been helping other people get stuff, because is nice seeing people get what they want. One thing that baffles me is like my SAM penta thrust is as good if not better than my drgs penta thrusts. I have no idea why really, you wouldnt think it could be. Granted I dont use penta much on drg because drakesbane gives better results but nonetheless I still find it confusing.

I think meriting is probably the biggest thing overall with me this year that has changed. I'm around #450 merits now I think. I think at the start of the year I was at like #150 or something ridiculous. So lately I've just been looking at my jobs trying to figure out what I want to merit next. My jobs that are either capped on merits or that I am happy with are war, drk, sam, mnk, whm, smn which leaves me with drg, thf, pld and sch. Out of those 4 I really have no idea what I wanna do first. I will probably finish Angon but I dont know. I still gotta finish my enfeebling merits off as well.

Events continue to go well for most part. I think last month we probably netted the best Dynamis profit we've ever had despite not always having a ton of people. Salvage been going well too, seems like we keep rolling through the 35's especially in SSR, but BR runs have went dry. Have so many people sitting on sets with like 3/5 or 4/5 so heres hoping that can finish those off early into new year.

Anyways just blabbering on :p. Really looking forward to christmas. I get paid vacation time from Dec 24th to Jan 4th I believe and I dont have to use any vacation days or anything during that time off. Really looking forward to the time off and getting caught up on stuff. Maybe finish my 56 BLM who knows. I probably wont update again this month, so hopefully everyone has a good xmas a good new years.

Since my last LJ update managed to get the 35 usukane hands and the head piece finally dropped :x
Seemed like it took 20 battleclads for it to finally drop but it finally did. Third set for moi.

Been 9 months since I updated last >.>, alot has happened since then. The linkshell continues to get stuff done, and I think for the most part, people continue to have fun and has a good atmosphere going for it. Sometimes its hard to keep things going because the game has been out for so long, and the lack of injection of new players makes it hard to always have enough people to keep things going strong, but nevertheless as a linkshell we continue to do it without much strife. As they continue to post more about ff14, I find myself getting more excited about it. The game looks pretty nice so far but I dont really understand why they changed the names of the races. Its going to be so nice to move onto something new with good quality people and people you enjoy being around. One of the things I probably dislike most about being a officer in FFXI is just the feeling like you have to accept people to make things work anymore because you dont really got much to choose from because the lack of new players coming into the game. So if we do decide to move on ff14 whenever it comes out, and the linkshell does decide to transfer over I think its going to suck in some ways because everything you have accomplished in this game doesnt really mean much anymore but at the same time, your still doing stuff together which is the most important part imo, and being able to meet and become friends with new people is going to be nice.

Since I last updated we did get a few HNM's. Sometimes I think I miss the HNM scene because fighting the mobs is pretty fun and its exciting because it breaks the monotonous schedule of events which we are predominantly anymore. Then once we get there and after 1-2 days, I snap to my sense and realize why I hate the HNM scene because of all the bullshit associated with it.

The Nidhogg one was my personal favorite because we got the ToD from a whitegate shout and we just ran up to the aery and scooped up a Nidhogg, was one of the funnier things I can remember from this game. Gratz to Griffith on his free Dalmatica. I also got gaiters from that Tiamat, pretty grateful for that, one of the few items left in the game I really wanted.


About 2 years ago we quit doing HNM and started to focus more on events because as mentioned above we were tired of all the bullshit associated with it. Since that time our linkshell has been doing a ton of salvage, its crazy how many runs I have been on looking back. Finished my marduk set completing my 2nd salvage set. I've been working on usukane set a bit too, and recently completed the body which is really nice. I've had the 35 usukane head for like 6 months but ZR boss only drops 25 usu body, skadi hands and marduk feet. Once I get the 25 Usukane Head and the 35 Usukane Hands that will complete my 3rd set.

We've got a couple turtle drops since they "updated ssr". But overall it doesnt seem like they improved the drop rate that much on drops in ssr. Maybe just bad luck for us.








Einherjar been going really well for the linkshell as well. Even though we dont have great numbers alot of the times we still have a 98% tier clear success rate it seems. The only problem really is we get the SAME FUCKING DROPS all the time. I mean literally same shit every time. Its like some combination of M Body, Crimson Body, Hofud, Hadean Body & Valhalla Helm. Not saying that those items suck or whatever but its some combination of those items 95% of the time.

But after a dozen of Odins, we did manage to get one odin that people liked >.>

I think overall the biggest change since my last update is just the fact I managed to level a few new jobs. Since my last update I believe I got Scholar, Thief, and Monk to 75. Scholar still to me is a complicated job and I'm still getting used to the whole the nuke aspect of it. I am pretty familiar with healing aspect because I been a WHM for years and WHM probably the job I play the most. But I have done alot of sea on sch since leveling job but I think out of all the jobs I have that scholar is definately the most complex and I'm always trying to improve upon it.

For the most part I finished my nuking set. I'm not really sure on how I could improve it. I did finish the ACP storyline which I used as a Scholar nuke body. Was pretty dissapointed with that expansion and havent bought the Kupo expansion and not sure if I'm going to.



I finished thief because I pretty much already had the gear for it, such as homam, hecatomb and I had picked up Skadi Feet/Legs/Head (didnt upgrade head though), when my THF was level 50 or something coz no one wanted them so if seemed only logical to finish the job. I enjoyed leveling the job for the most part, especially after level 60. I aint really too hardcore about the job though, but it is nice to have for farming, and I use it sometimes for salvage, and Dynamis because I am pretty familiar with the pulling paths and everything associated with that, so it works out good for me.

Last job I finished recently was monk. I mainly finished monk because I had received the blackbelt items from ks99 that no one could use, I had already got some usukane gear from leveling samurai and I pretty much love salvage and monk is a awesome job for that and I like having options and being able to fill whatever roll is needed. Monk has been pretty fun, but I think out of all the jobs I have played that its basically the most simple, which is nice sometimes because you can just beat shit up and you dont really gotta think too hard which is sometimes relaxing.

In reference to this beautiful post. Let me just reitterate and tell what happened from my point of view. Duskk was sick and tired of the game. It was pretty evident because he was a big giant void of negativity. I'm sure if you read his whole SOU cfh Ixion post it would be pretty evident. It was painfully aware that he wasnt enjoying the game anymore. It happens to people, we all play this game a ton and alot of us come to the point where it, no longer is fun for us. Not a big deal really. But instead of "Being a man" like he puts its, and just accept that, your time has come and its time to move on, he started pointing fingers and making excuses and accusations.

The whole "fight" between us happened as a result of him saying Liltulip was corrupt and using the ls bank for her own needs. The fight happened because I stood up for my friend. If you know anything about liltulip you know shes not like that. Not once as an officer have I ever heard people complain about her "using the ls bank for her own needs". When I talked to Duskk via Private messages about this because he was spreading rumors, I asked him "What is she using the ls bank for that makes you think, that shes using it for herself?" "Give me one item that shes bought that makes you think this?". He couldnt even respond, he had no answer. Dont you think if you were going to accuse someone of something like this you would at least have a reason for it? There are many items in this game that me and liltulip share. To this day we still share a errant cape, serket ring, peacock charm and in the past we shared a pair of dusk gloves among other things that I am sure I am forgetting. Why would we share gear if she dipped into the ls bank? Why wouldnt she just buy stuff for herself?

His response to this would probably be something of the effect, "She keeps no record of it". Just judging from things that I've seen and things I have heard with people who "Steal a ls bank". It almost always results in LS leader stealing the ls bank to fund a relic or something. Guess what, Liltulip has no desire for a relic weapon. In equilibrium, we sell all dynamis currency and divide it up evenly to those who participate on runs. Which is the biggest amount of currency the LS brings in and guess what that is recorded and documented and given to people. We're probably the only ls on seraph that distributes gil to people evenly and fairly among our members regarding dynamis. The next biggest source of income for our ls in bahamut 2 where we sell the cashmere cloths to help fund peoples salvage bodies. And guess what that is documented as well. Not too mention that you, yourself Duskk got 5mil for your Ares's Cuirass. Everything inbetween is not really recorded so yeah you would be partially right. But guess what: this is a game and we're all here to have fun. Its not liltulips job to keep bookeeping on every little detail. You know she has a RL job and all sorts of other stuff to deal with outside of the game. Shes not getting paid to document every little thing within the game. Which is what I was trying to point out about your "summer job and not being able to play event nights". I didnt really care that you couldnt play all the time, my point was that you thought you should be given a break (because of this RL job) but yet you wont give a break to anyone (liltulip) else.

And you know what? Even if she did document every little thing conceivable, it will always come down to the fact that you need to trust your leader regardless. Something that you will never understand Duskk, because your so hellbent on thinking everyones out to get you and they're corrupt. Liltulip and EQ treated you really good, we accomplished everything that you ever wanted plus alot of extras and we get shit on by you. When you quit the game, you sold kirin osode, sha'ir manteel, plus whatever else - instead of giving it back to the ls. Also your brother decided to give his novio earring to someone else instead of giving it back to the ls, and they sold it. Of course if you ever ran a hnmls you would realize that 90% people will never give shit back so its not a huge suprise. Loyalty doesnt always run through peoples veins as much as we would like.

I just think its really sad that someone we treated really good (in my opinion) turned out to be so negative and so hypocritical. You were a great player Duskk, and one of our most active members. But your personality when you left the game was so meh, you were so negative and hyproctical, I just had no desire to talk to you on vent. Me talking to you on vent wasnt going to change or fix anything and nothing good, could of came from it. I didnt want to be enveloped in all the negativity and hate.


In regards to Haladir. When you joined EQ you already had the 35 Ares's Body piece and you had already farmed your 12 imperial wootz ingots. I went out of my way to get you, your 25 piece to complete it for you. We give people gil in our ls for salvage body pieces to help people who are unable to acheive it, its not a means of making gil. In conjuction with that people must work on ENM's and participate in salvage. I can say that you were not active at all in salvage. So here you have a guy who is not active in salvage, already got the 35 before joining the ls, and already had the 12 ingots before joining the ls and he wants $5million dropped on him just like that. It would be like someone getting a salvage body in a previous linkshell then joining a new ls and expecting to be compensated for it. Also combine this with the fact that he pretended to AFK all the time and farm in zones while people did events. Hes going to deny it but hes a liar. People AFK in whitegate or your homenation, you dont afk in "Quicksand caves". Honestly your a joke. To respond to your post about Yamato. I dont even know talk to anyone in Yamato yet have any good friends within that linkshell. If you think I cockblocked your attempt into Yamato, your mistaken. Maybe you didnt get into Yamato because you have a shitty fucking reputation and everyone on seraph knows it. We gave you a chance and you blew it with being a terrible member and now you have burned your bridges everywhere. Quit making excuses and pointing fingers and just realize that nobody fucking likes you.

Been a long time since I posted any type of journal entry. Been busy as usual in ffxi, linkshell is going along real well. Last few months have been pretty fun, people getting along real well and little strife among members nowadays.

Since I last posted I started doing Nyzul runs, about twice a week with a static. Static consisted of Geronimo, Liltulip, Estifer, myself, rubicant then we usually just picked up another person from the linkshell - usually Griffith or Kobra. Managed to make up to Floor 100 with only failing one floor. Overall the nyzul experience was pretty fun I guess, was pretty easy with a good group of people. Reason I wanted to do nyzul was to obtain the new weaponskills first and foremost, I didnt really care too much about the gear.

Unlocking them wasnt so fun but the new skillchain combinations are pretty nice :)












As it stands now, only weaponskill I am missing is the Summoner one, which im not overly worried about.


Things been going pretty well in salvage too. Overall we have slowed down the pace of salvage mainly due to the fact that we have been doing einherjar much more now than we used to be. Overall the progress has been pretty amazing and we have completed a lot of pieces. Salvage is probably my favorite event overall in the game, I like being able to accomplish things rather than sit around waiting for stuff to pop. Alot of the gear is nice too.

Was able to pick up a couple more pieces :o

I recently dinged samurai to 75 and got some nice boots to go with it :). Luckily our linkshell has had real good luck with Usukane Boots so this made it a possibility for me to get.




Besides the Usukane Feet, I was also able to pick up Marduk's Tiara and Jubbah making me 4/5 on marduk set and my 10th completed piece.

Was also able to complete liltulip's morrigan set, was our 2nd completed set and she really deserved because she had put in a ton of effort into salvage :)





Dynamis been going real awesome for our linkshell as well. We have gotten so many af this year it is pretty amazing when you stop and look at all we have achieved. Overall people have really done a awesome job in the Dynamis part of our linkshell. Recently we have killed numerous Dynamis Lords and the af2 just sort of pouring out.

I was luckily enough to get some nice drops from here as well :o




The long awaited summoner horn. It took like a year and half just to get one of these >.>. We have gotten so many of everything else but summoner horn. It was really weird our luck with it. Since the first one dropped we have managed to get a couple more. Funny how those things work out.




Also, managed to pick these up for my summoner :o, they are pretty nice as well.




With that, my summoner is pretty much complete. Too bad summoners dont get much time and day in the game anymore :(

Also managed to pick up a few more pieces in Dynamis. Waited awhile for the Abyss cape to drop and finally win a lot on it. But I really am liking it so far :)




Ever since I leveled paladin I had always wished I had chosen the ethereal earring. I choose magnetic earring because when I completed the quest years ago, all I had was dark knight and summoner and was finishing whitemage up. So I choose the magnetic earring. When the quest came up for you to switch your earrings, I wanted to change it but because I play whitemage so much I figured it really wasnt worth it. A few months ago I was lucky enough to receive a novia earring from the linkshell which prompted me to switch my earrings:




Other various things I have recieved recently were the aurum boots. Wanted these boots for awhile, I'm not sure how many times I've done the armed gears fight but I know I have done it a few times. Was lucky enough to get a double drop on my orb. These boots are sexah as hell, even appearance wise lol. Made it so I was able to sell my dusk boots which was nice, because I hate dusk gear >.>, the -movement speed thing drives me nuts sometimes.




One of the biggest changes in our linkshell has been Einherjar. It took us awhile to finally get there but eventually we did. Its been pretty hard simply because our linkshell just isnt very big so its hard to get a good turnout. However with a few adjustments we were finally able to overcome it and now Einherjar is going pretty well. Its a pain to really set up initially but not so bad once you get rolling. Its a real fun event when things go well. Our first odin :o, double crimson body ftw!




Decided to start leveling a new job as well. Have had a few crazy parties on SCH. Partying in the past is crazy as hell >.> My scholar is currently level 54. I think this was the most epic party I've ever been party of:



Chain 36 at level 41. 18k an hour. WTFseriously

and last but not least, probably my greatest acheivement that I have had personally over the last couple months:

Salvage been going very well for the linkshell recently. Now upto 95 complete upgrades with a little over 100 35's since November. Month of July was very slow, but August has been amazing with 18 completed pieces so far and its only the 18th.

I got the first 3 pieces relatively quick but took awhile to get the 4th and 5th piece, but it happened pretty quick. I am still a little shocked how it sorta just came together.

I gotta say that overall I was happier when Liltulip finally got her Morrigan Body after going about 25 Long Bowed Chariots with no drop, than me completing full Ares. She really has busted her ass for EQ and I dont think she gets as much appreciation as she deserves. So I was pretty happy for her when her 25 dropped because LBC was getting so discouraging.

Really looking forward to the update, seems like they're going to adding alot of nice things to the game. One can only hope that things turn out the way they sound. I'm pretty excited about the changes to Einherger. We used to do einherger alot when it first came out and we were pretty successful at it, it just got to the point that it was such a organizational nightmare and having to always go back for people or leaving people out really sucked. The changes that they are planning on making seem pretty nice from a organizational point of view so I look forward to that. Luckily we have about half the clears already needed for Odin so least we dont have to start from scratch, when the update comes. I only hope we got enough firepower to get through the tier III's, because our ls roster is pretty small now and we have alot of inactive people. So hopefully it will be ok with the numbers we got or we can find a way to get a few more people to make it work successfully.

Other than that been busy in the game as usual. We been doing a ton of salvage. LBC continues to be just ridiculous on 25 drops we need. We have something like 9 25's we need from LBC to complete peoples pieces yet somehow manage to always get the pieces that we dont need. Last month we got like 3 macha coats so we been trying to get the 25's but were something like 0/18 on the last lbc's on 25 bodb's robe >.>. Would really like to get some pieces so we can start moving onto other areas of salvage. So far were upto about 70 35's since November so, salvage been going pretty good for the ls. Other than that just been filling up ls time with some dynamis, limbus, sky stuff and managed to get Niddhogg recently and do JoL. Was kinda hoping to tank JoL for the first time because I recently had bought some magic gear for various stuff but gonna have to wait on that I guess. I know everyone would be excited to see me tank JoL :p

Well in my previous entry I talked about how I have all this great paladin gear and never end up tanking anything because we usually dont have a shortage of people who want to tank but we have a shortage of people who like playing whitemage. Yesterday was only 4hours left on the Khimiara window but we decided to Salvage instead because we have something like 10 35's that need the corresponding 25's, and recently our luck on 25's has been atrocious so we been trying to complete peoples pieces. Phobo's Mask anyone? >.>. So after getting 35 Skadi body from Peryton and finally getting 1 needed 25 Skadi boots from lbc and getting shafted on needed drops from Battleclad chariot we dediced to head on out to Khimiara because it hadnt popped.

I decided to go Paladin because Duskk was the only other paladin there and quite honestly I think some of the mages there needed some new spice added to their lives and needed to see some elf paladin sexahness. So we all arrived about 10-15mins before the window, and then the following happened:

It was late at night, the clouds begun to swirl with madness and we all knew what was about to happen. Oh, this would be the day when Zubbie, Paladin of San D'Oria would lose his HNM Paladin virginity. You could just tell from the smell of the air. Then it came, a big purple chimera popped from out of the clouds and a Taru summoner, with a swift dia pierced thy beasts breast followed by Carbuncle just getting downright nasteh and giving the purple beast some bite action. Luckily Zubbie who happens to be a bit of a summoner himself and animal lover knew that Buncie wouldnt last long so with a thunderous flash the purple beast was blinded and buncie was saved. From there Zubbie and Duskk just took over and protected the people of Equilibrium as they smashed it into the ground in a focal point of destruction.

After the fight April O'Neil interviewed Zubuis on his thoughts on the fight:

"Well to be honest I was expecting a little more and thought it would be faster paced action. But it was really just in slow motion and wasn't really too challenging. Overall it was pretty /yawn and I was expecting to be crushed initially but ironically enough, didn't even take hardly any damage and there were no fatalities from anyone. I am just happy that we can now put behind the rumors from people like Geronimo who claimed that I wouldn't last longer than 1 minute without dying. Over the course of the weekend we managed to do a few Bahamuts v2's. We recently have had very good luck with drops from the bcnm. I think the last 5 for 6 have dropped masks so were pretty close to being capped on Bahamut Mask and Bahamut Staff now other than a few new members. And we still have about 5 or so Bahamut v2's to go. On saturday I was lucky enough to get a mask :o




Overall I've been pretty fortunate in EQ. I have been in the linkshell from the beginning. Even though my main job has always been DRK my paladin is looking pretty nice nowadays.




And no I dont tank in templar mace/hospitaler earring typically >.>. Though I tend to use them in Dynamis because I feel like whitemage anyway other than tanking mnks with sentinel because its impossible to hold hate for the most part against standard dynamis mobs against melee's/blackmages.

Sometimes I feel bad because I dont even play DRK or PLD much anymore and I have pretty great gear for both jobs. But saying that, pretty much all of our PLD's in our linkshell have pretty good/great gear. However in our linkshell most people prefer to come DD or Tank over whm, so I just tend to go whm more because it keeps others happier playing jobs they prefer. Sometimes I will go PLD to dynamis and stuff. But I am kinda hoping to tank a few more things in future. Though now that we do so much Salvage, PLD isnt really all that useful so yeah >.>.

I've been thinking recently of re-doing Apocalypse Nigh to exchange my magnetic earring in for a ethereal earring >.>. Though I'm still not sure which to do, because I play WHM and SMN more than PLD and I'm kinda lazy to redo the quest. But ethereal would be shweet on PLD >.<. And I could just replace Magnetic with some other mp earring and wouldnt make much of a difference.
